Q & A Session with Gia Amendola

What words do you live by?

“Never touch anything with half of your heart.”

What do you do when you are not at work?

When I’m not at work or school, I love to spend time with my family, workout, play the piano, go to museums, and take photographs.

Why do you love what you do?

I love what I do because I love creating a sense of community and connecting people with others.

Why did you get into social media?

Social media has always been in my life in one way or another. It’s something I partake in every day and creating content is something that I genuinely enjoy, so working in the industry does not feel all that much like work!

What is your fondest memory in your professional career?

My fondest memories of my professional career so far are creating bonds with co-workers and learning from experienced people in the industry, like my bosses. I keep a journal of jotted-down quotes that I have heard in my career that were impactful to me.

What problems do you enjoy solving?

I enjoy solving creative problems. Problems that require you to be innovative and go somewhere that push you out of your comfort zone.

What gets you energized?

Mostly coffee. However, taking a break from doing something and looking at funny jokes or joking with co-workers puts me in a good mood and ready to get back to work with a clear mind.
